By casting this spell you search Arda for all creatures who are of similar kind. For example you can get magical anchors, "keys", to all the places where there live any wolves by using the locate life spell on wolf.

It takes a brilliant mind to master this spell; deep insight and an iron will are important too.

This will tell you where instances of this creature can be found, within a radius that depends on your strength in this spell. It will also provide magical information about these locations that can be used in other spells.
