STEAL

Use steal to steal gold or items from people. The chance of not getting caught depends on how well you have practiced steal, if the person is asleep, and the level of the victim compared to thief.

Stealing, as low and rotten as it might seem, can be a good strategic tool for any adventurer. Perhaps you can steal the magical scrolls of an enemy, or even their weapon. Some people of course use their dextrous fingers for their own greed, pickpocketing townsmen and shopkeepers.

To master this skill, great agility and good eyesight are required.

Note that if citizens of a town see you stealing you will become wanted for your crimes in that town. Please note also that spam stealing (repeatedly issuing the steal command against one victim) is illegal and will be punished.

Example:

  > steal gold drunk

Ability to steal also makes you capable of guessing what others have in their pockets when you examine them. You'll need a good knowledge of this skill to see their whole inventory in one attempt.

Note: Due to misuse of the steal command, it is not possible to steal from players, and stealing from mobiles is very hard.
