ANCIENT
Ancient-aged members of the Free People are not most suited for the War and may
tend to live peacefully. They get some compensations in
return if they are not financially well-off, such as
cheaper rent at the inns of
Bree, the Grey Havens, the
Shire, and Lórien, and less
scrutiny from Círdan.
Common Men are ancient at the age of 100, other
races vary; cf. help age.
Characters wishing to quickly reach this peaceful age may seek help from a certain alchemist in Fornost. Beware that his treatments will last for years and cannot be undone easily, even by sipping from a certain fountain.
